Objectives

One of our objectives is to promote aviation safety and to provide civilian voluntary Search and Rescue (SAR) service in a support role to the Canadian Military.

At the present time our Unit can respond to SAR tasking via the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre (JRCC) - Trenton, as well as recognized Provincial Authorities.

It is important to note that our primary functions are, searching from the air, and conducting electronic searches on the ground, and we encourage everyone to become proficient members of our air crews.

We realize that not all people will be able to, or desire to fly, or may not be physically able to fly, and there are many other equally important ground related duties and assignments with which members might undertake.
